Benin to host Mauritania in Ivory Coast for 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier

Benin will play their next international match in Ivory Coast because they do not yet have a stadium approved by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The Guepards will face Mauritania at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Ebimpe on 29 September, with the venue selected for its modern facilities and the geographical proximity of the two countries.

The fixture, part of the qualifying campaign for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, is expected to be a crucial one for Benin.

By choosing one of Ivory Coast’s leading sporting venues, Benin will have access to suitable playing conditions for their meeting with Mauritania’s Mourabitounes.
