The top figures of Beninese football were honored this Sunday at the annual “Benin Football Awards”, an event that celebrated the country’s most outstanding players, coaches, and contributors to the sport. The ceremony recognized achievements across multiple levels, from domestic leagues to international representation.
Nabil Yarou, captain of Buffalos, was named the Best Player of the Season, reflecting his influence and leadership on the pitch. The Minister of Sports, Oswald Homéky, was also honored for his contributions to the development of football in Benin.
