The Banamè Mission has officially denied claims that Parfaite Daagbo prophesied a victory for Benin at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. According to the mission, the reports circulating about the alleged prophecy are false and have no basis in fact.
In a statement posted on Sunday, June 16, 2019, via the Dicastery of Communication on the Banamè Mission’s Facebook page, the organization described the rumors as “a stupid, crude and obscure fabrication by Beelzebub’s henchmen, relayed by people who owe their survival to the forces of darkness and who crave sensationalism.” The mission emphasized that Parfaite Daagbo has never delivered such a message, even though she sincerely wishes success for the national team.
The Banamè Mission clarified that the story circulating, reported by outlets such as Beninwebtv, is entirely fabricated. They stressed that the authors and sponsors of the false information are well known and that the supposed prophecy misrepresents the mission’s teachings. “God wants the best for Benin, but it comes at the end of effort. Banamè is not a miracle for the sake of a miracle. Banamè is faith,” the statement concluded, reinforcing the principle that success comes through dedication and belief, rather than mystical predictions.
This clarification aims to dispel any misconceptions regarding Parfaite Daagbo and the Banamè Mission, highlighting that the national team’s performance at the Africa Cup of Nations will depend on hard work and preparation rather than supernatural intervention.
