The 29-year-old player joins Augsburg after leaving French club Stade Brestois, where he failed to reach an extension agreement.
He scored 33 goals and provided 9 assists in 135 appearances for Brestois during his stay at the club.
Mounié’s move to Augsburg marks a new chapter in his career, having previously played in the Premier League and Ligue 1.
The German club announced the signing on Friday, July 5, 2024.
Mounié’s addition to Augsburg’s squad is a significant boost to the team, which finished 11th in the Bundesliga last season.
The striker’s experience and skills will be valuable assets to the team as they aim to improve their performance in the upcoming season.
With his new contract, Mounié will be playing in the Bundesliga for the next three seasons until June 2027.
Newly-promoted Premier League side Ipswich Town were keen on landing the former Huddersfield player, but he has chosen to move to Germany.
