Benin name starting XI for decisive Argentina clash at Women’s U20 World Cup

Benin have confirmed their starting line-up for the decisive second round of Group A fixtures at the Women’s U20 World Cup, with the Amazones U20 set to face Argentina.

Captain Yasminath Djibril will lead Benin’s midfield, while Larissa Saizonou starts in goal for a side preparing to confront a formidable Argentine attack.

The Benin coach has selected a team built around a settled tactical structure, with the defence led by the central pairing of Nailatou Sadikou and Jocelyne Thetchri. The starting XI also includes a three-player attack featuring Romaine Gandonou, Hosane Soukou and Germaine Honfo.

Benin will be aiming for a major result in the tournament as they take on Argentina in this important Group A encounter. The line-up reflects a balance between defensive strength, midfield leadership and attacking pace, with Djibril wearing the captain’s armband from the centre of the team.
