Benin defender Moïse Adilehou set for move to Thailand
Benin defender Moïse Adilehou is expected to continue his career in Asia after reports linked him with a move from Stade Lavallois to Thai side Ratchaburi FC.
The 30-year-old centre-back is set to leave the French club after struggling for regular playing time during the season, with Thailand now emerging as his next destination.
According to Goat TV, Ratchaburi are preparing to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign and have identified the Benin international as one of their targets during the summer transfer window.
Adilehou endured a difficult campaign at Laval, where opportunities were limited and his involvement remained minimal throughout the season.
Although the defender was initially under contract with the Ligue 2 club until June 2027, reports suggest that all parties have now reached an agreement that would allow the transfer to proceed.
The move would mark a significant change in the career of the former Benin international, who is preparing to leave European football for a new challenge in Southeast Asia.
Ratchaburi finished third in the Thai top flight last season, underlining the club’s growing ambitions domestically and on the continental stage.
The club also enjoyed a strong run in the AFC Champions League Two, reaching the quarter-finals of the competition and strengthening its profile within Asian football.
For Adilehou, the transfer would provide an opportunity to revive his career after a season in which he struggled to establish himself in France.
The defender, currently valued at around €150,000 according to Transfermarkt estimates, is expected to bring experience and defensive stability to his new side if the deal is completed.
Beyond the change of country, the move would also offer him the chance to compete in international club competitions in Asia, opening a new chapter in a career that has largely been spent in European football.
With discussions advancing, Adilehou now appears close to beginning a fresh sporting project far from Ligue 2 and European competition.
