Benin defender David Kiki vows to give his all at AFCON 2025
Benin defender David Kiki has promised to give his all at the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tournament, to be staged in Morocco.
The Squirrels are paired in Group D against powerhouse, Senegal, DR Congo and Botswana at the continental showpiece, scheduled to take place between December 2025 and January 2026 in the North African country.
However, David Kiki, who plies his trade for Romanian giants Steaua Bucuresti has declared his unwavering optimism and determination, sharing his enthusiasm and his team’s clear objectives for this continental competition.
“The AFCON is an international competition, and we are really happy to be participating this year. We know our objective: to make the country proud by going as far as possible in this competition. I’m 32 years old; you never know, this might be my last AFCON. The goal is to give it my all there” he declared.
The 31-year-old defender has made three appearances for the Romanian club this season. Meanwhile, he has made 50 appearances for the Benin national team since making his debut in 2015.
