William Vainqueur, the French midfielder of Haitian origin currently playing for Standard de Liège, was awarded the best goal of the 2012-2013 season in the Belgian championship. The Trophy was presented to him during a gala organized by RTBF in partnership with DH and Paris Match. Vainqueur received the award for his goal against Zulte Waregem on April 12, where he scored from 25 meters after recovering a poorly repelled ball by the Zulte Waregem defense. The goal was voted as the most popular, securing 55% of the votes. Vainqueur expressed his happiness at winning the trophy and emphasized his focus on scoring more goals from afar in the upcoming season.
