Frédéric Bulot had a mixed first half of the season with Standard de Liège in the Jupiler Pro League. The Franco-Gabonese midfielder faced physical challenges, particularly with a painful knee, affecting his performance in the early part of the 2013-2014 season. Despite the setbacks, Bulot, who has started nine times in the league, remains confident in his abilities and versatility.
“I started off really well, and then I got injured, and I yo-yoed a bit. I came to play in the center (…) but fortunately I am versatile. I have to gain strength again, and the competition doesn’t scare me, I have confidence in my qualities. We are currently first, and we want to go to the end, but we will have to remain humble,” said the Libreville native to l’Avenir.
Bulot is determined to regain his starting position in Guy Luzon’s training and aims to contribute to Standard de Liège winning the title. Currently, his primary concern is his left knee, and he plans to undergo treatment in Barcelona to regain full extension of his leg.
