It’s unfortunate news for the Belgian club Gantoise and their striker Habib Habibou. The Central African player sustained a knee injury during a training session with his club last Tuesday. As reported by the Dutch-speaking Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws, Habibou will undergo a scan on Wednesday to assess the extent of the injury.
At this point, the severity of the injury is not yet known, and further medical examinations will provide more clarity. However, there are indications that the 26-year-old may miss the upcoming Jupiler Pro League match against Lokeren this weekend.
Habib Habibou recently joined La Gantoise during the winter transfer window from Zulte Waregem, signing a contract for three and a half seasons.
