Mohammed Tchité is experiencing a positive turn of events in his football career. After being relegated to the FC Bruges reserve team for an extended period, the Congolese striker is making a comeback to the first team under the management of the club’s new coach, Michel Preud’homme. The decision to recall Tchité is aimed at bolstering the offensive sector of the team.
Participating in his first training session with the FC Brugge elite in several months on Monday, Tchité expressed his eagerness for this new chapter. He stated on Tuesday, “I really want to start a new chapter with FC Bruges. I only did two training sessions with the A core, but the fun and my enthusiasm are back.”
Having signed a three-year contract in the summer of 2012, the 29-year-old striker faced a setback when he was excluded from the first team under the management of Spanish coach Juan Carlos Garrido. Tchité acknowledged the challenging months but emphasized that he utilized his time effectively, working hard with the hopefuls. He mentioned, “It wasn’t a happy time, but I didn’t waste my time. I worked hard with the hopefuls. I have no injury. I feel physically and mentally on top again.”
