Samuel Mbangula never saw his Juventus first-team debut coming.
The young talent reflected on the moment he was thrust into action against Como, a match that marked a turning point in his career.
“At the beginning of the season before the match against Como, I did not expect much. I had just been aggregated to the first team, for me as for others it was unthinkable to start at the first championship,” Mbangula shared. “When the coach gave the formation, I was shocked.”
The Belgian forward has since earned the trust of coach Thiago Motta, who continues to push him to reach new heights.
“With the coach, I find myself very well. He pretending to me so much and I know that I have his trust. I will always be grateful to him to believe in me from the beginning.”
Mbangula’s dedication has paid off, securing his place in the squad despite transfer speculation. The 2004-born attacker has tallied four goals and two assists in 25 appearances this season, proving he belongs at Juventus.
