Belgian midfielder of Congolese descent, Stanis Idumbo, is close to sealing a move to French Ligue 1 club AS Monaco.
Transfer insiders Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto report that the 20-year-old attacking midfielder will travel to Monaco this afternoon to undergo his medical.
Idumbo, who began his youth career at Club Bruges and KAA Gent before joining Ajax’s academy in 2021, made his professional debut for Jong Ajax in January 2023.
After impressing in the Netherlands, he moved to Sevilla in January 2024, initially featuring for Sevilla Atlético before breaking into the first team.
Known for his creativity and ability to play both as an attacking midfielder and a winger, Idumbo has quickly caught the attention of Monaco, who view him as a promising addition ahead of the new season.
The financial details of the deal are yet to be disclosed.
