Algeria set a record for the number of journalists covering the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) in Group D. Over 120 media representatives visited Rustenburg to cover the tournament and report on the continental event. Ivory Coast had a lower number of journalists present, with 40 to 50 members. Tunisia secured the third position with approximately twenty representatives in terms of media coverage.
