Mohamed El Shenawy, the captain of Al Ahly Club, held a private session today, Friday, with his teammate Mostafa Shobier, the team’s goalkeeper for today’s match against Zamalek in the final of the Egypt Cup.
El Shenawy provided him with several instructions before the summit begins, in light of El Shenawy’s absence from the match due to a shoulder injury.
According to “Al Watan Sport”, Mohamed El Shenawy met with Mostafa Shobier in a private session at Al Ahly’s hotel in Saudi Arabia, after El Shenawy traveled to the Kingdom to support his teammates in the summit clash against Zamalek, hoping to win the Egypt Cup title.
The main advice given by Ahly’s starting goalkeeper to his teammate Shobier was to remove any fear and not to worry about facing Zamalek, as it is the first summit in which Mostafa Shobier will guard the goal of the Red Devils against Zamalek.
Moreover, El Shenawy urged Shobier to guide his teammates on the field during the match and not to lose focus or concentration throughout the full 90 minutes, for the benefit of Al Ahly, aiming to bring the championship cup back from Saudi Arabia.
Koller’s Decisions for the Ahly vs Zamalek Match
On the other hand, the Swiss coach Marcel Koller, the head coach of Al Ahly Club, made three decisions hours before the summit, as part of various arrangements in preparation for the Zamalek match scheduled for this evening.
It was decided to conduct a light physical training session for the players at the hotel according to the load program set by the technical staff to prepare the players adequately.
Marcel Koller will hold a final lecture for the players before leaving the team’s hotel in preparation for the Zamalek match.
He will also discuss the latest technical instructions, tactical aspects, and tasks required from each player during the game.
The Al Ahly delegation is expected to return to Cairo directly after completing the Zamalek match.
