The Togo team, consisting of Antoine Agbégninou Kossi and Florent Apezoumon, earned their spot in the competition after their final loss to Nigeria in the African Cup of the discipline organized by Ivory Coast.
This opportunity is especially significant as Togo had faced visa-related challenges in the previous edition, preventing them from traveling to Canada for the competition. Now, the team has the chance to showcase their skills on the global stage.
In both the Men’s and Ladies categories, African representation is notable, with Nigeria being joined by Tunisia in the Men’s category and Sierra Leone and Ghana joining Nigeria in the Ladies category.
