Invited to participate in the international Beach Soccer World Wide (BSWW) tournament, the Senegal national team departed from Dakar on Wednesday to Nigeria, where the competition is being held.
The African champions will play against Lebanon on Friday, December 13, at 3 p.m. and then face Germany and Nigeria on December 15. After a mini-championship where all the teams will compete, the team with the most points will lift the trophy.
Ibrahima Ndiaye “Chita,” the Beach soccer coordinator, stated, “Senegal’s invitation to this tournament proves that the Lions are respected in the world of Beach soccer.”
Nigeria is the reigning double champion in Beach Soccer.
