BBC African Player of the Year 2014: The Race Is On
The BBC has officially announced the five nominees for its prestigious African Player of the Year 2014 award. This year’s shortlist includes:
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Gabon & Borussia Dortmund)
Gervinho (Ivory Coast & AS Roma)
Yacine Brahimi (Algeria & FC Porto)
Vincent Enyeama (Nigeria & Lille)
Yaya Touré (Ivory Coast & Manchester City) – the reigning champion
These names were selected by a panel of African football journalists, and fans across the globe now have the power to determine the winner through online voting on the BBC’s platforms until November 24. The winner will be revealed on December 1.
