Bayern Munich faced humiliation on Tuesday evening at their home ground against Real Madrid. Despite being unable to pose a significant threat at home, Guardiola and his team suffered a 4-0 defeat. The Bavarian coach, however, refuses to make excuses and fully accepts responsibility for the disappointing result.
“We suffered a heavy defeat. We created only a few chances. Our performance was poor, and it’s my responsibility. At the highest European level, mistakes are costly. This defeat will always remain in our minds, but I will try to motivate my players,” stated the Catalan coach.
Despite the setback, Guardiola can find solace in Bayern Munich’s achievement of winning the German championship title this season.
