Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala ruled out of RB Leipzig match and extreme doubt for Arsenal

Jamal Musiala will miss Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga match against RB Leipzig on Saturday and is highly unlikely to face Arsenal next week, according to Bild.

The Germany international completed a rehabilitation session at Bayern’s training centre on Thursday morning. The session lasted about 45 minutes and included running at varying speeds, as well as some light ball work.

However, Musiala will have to wait longer before returning to competitive action. His participation against Arsenal next week is described as almost impossible, with Bayern unwilling to take any risks over his recovery.

The date of his return to full team training will depend on how his muscles respond over the coming days. The club’s priority is to ensure he has recovered completely before allowing him to resume normal training.

Musiala suffered the injury before Germany’s match against the Netherlands in the opening round of League A in the Nations League.

The 4 matches he has played for Bayern Munich this season have produced 2 goals and 1 assist.
