German side Bayern Munich have reportedly lost interest in signing Dutch forward of Togolese descent Cody Gakpo.
The Bundesliga champions are currently in the market for attacking reinforcements, with Liverpool’s Luis Díaz emerging as one of the club’s top targets.
While Gakpo had previously been linked with a move to the Allianz Arena, those talks have gone silent in recent weeks.
According to Sport Bild (via weltfussball.de), Cody Gakpo is no longer being considered a transfer priority by Bayern.
The report identifies two primary reasons behind the club’s shift in focus. The first is their strong interest in Díaz, and the second is the emergence of Nick Woltemade as a potential option.
Despite Gakpo’s versatility, Bayern Munich reportedly have different plans for those positions.
Cody Gakpo, 26, is happy at Liverpool and has no problem continuing with the English Premier League champions in the 2025/26 football season.
