Bayern worried about Olise's future

Bayern Munich are reportedly growing concerned about the future of French winger of Nigerian descent Michael Olise, with the club yet to receive a clear indication from the player regarding his long-term plans.

As per reports, Bayern are keen to secure Olise’s future but remain uncertain over whether the 24-year-old is fully committed to extending his stay at the Allianz Arena.

The Bavarian giants rejected interest from Real Madrid during the summer transfer window, despite the Spanish giants making an approach for the France international.

However, Bayern’s position could become more complicated if Olise’s representatives insist on including a release clause in any new contract.

The report claims Olise’s representatives want a penalty clause inserted into a potential renewal, which would allow the winger to leave Bayern if a specified fee is met. The German champions are understood to be carefully considering the proposal before making a decision.

Bayern are also keen to establish Olise’s intentions before next summer, with the club unwilling to enter the final stages of the season without clarity over the player’s future.

Olise has so far avoided committing himself publicly when asked about his plans beyond the current campaign. The Frenchman has been questioned about whether he intends to remain in Munich next season but has not provided a definitive answer.

His uncertainty comes after an outstanding campaign in which he established himself as one of Bayern’s key attacking players. Olise contributed 22 goals and 31 assists in 52 appearances across all competitions, further increasing his profile among Europe’s elite clubs.

His performances have also strengthened his standing with the French national team and attracted renewed interest from Real Madrid.

Despite the speculation, Olise remains under contract with Bayern until June 2029, giving the German club significant control over his situation.

Bayern, however, appear determined to resolve the uncertainty well before the end of the season, particularly with Real Madrid continuing to monitor the player’s situation.
