Bayern Munich has decided to withdraw from the race to sign RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande ahead of the summer transfer window, citing the high cost of the 19-year-old’s transfer and changing squad priorities.

According to reports from CFBayernInsider, the German club deemed the potential €100 million fee excessive and opted not to pursue the Ivorian talent.

The decision comes as intense competition for Diomande’s signature has emerged, with Premier League sides Liverpool and Manchester United, as well as European giants FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, showing strong interest.

Bayern’s reluctance is also linked to squad composition. The recent integration of Luis Díaz as a first-choice left winger has reduced the urgency of reinforcing the position, lessening the club’s motivation to invest heavily.

Despite Bayern’s exit, Diomande remains one of Europe’s most sought-after young players.

The Ivorian international has delivered an impressive season for Leipzig, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists in 28 appearances across all competitions.

His performances have strengthened his reputation and continue to attract interest from multiple top clubs.

Currently under contract with RB Leipzig until June 2030, Diomande earns an annual salary of €750,000.

While Bayern will not be involved, the summer transfer window is expected to see a competitive bidding process as Premier League and European clubs seek to secure his signature.

With his combination of youth, proven productivity, and potential, Diomande is likely to be a key figure in one of the summer’s most high-profile transfer battles.
