Bayern Munich willing to make formal approach to sign Marc Guehi in winter window
German giants Bayern Munich are reportedly considering a January move to sign English defender of Ivorian descent, Marc Guehi.
The 25-year-old has attracted interest from top clubs across Europe, including FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. Guehi’s current deal with Palace runs out in the summer, making the winter window the last opportunity for the Premier League side to secure a transfer fee. His market value is estimated at around €45 million.
Liverpool, previously seen as frontrunners, have cooled their pursuit in favor of targeting a free transfer next summer, a strategy also preferred by Real Madrid. That leaves Bayern Munich and Barcelona as the two main contenders for Guehi’s signature in January.
For Bayern, the fit appears ideal. While Dayot Upamecano and Jonathan Tah are currently settled in central defense, questions linger over Upamecano’s long-term future.
Guehi, who has established himself in the Premier League as a quick, reliable, and commanding presence, is viewed as a plug-and-play solution and a valuable long-term investment.
At the moment, Marc Guehi’s future is uncertain as clubs circle to battle for his signature.
