Bayern Munich tracking Liverpool winger Rio Ngumoha as teenager’s value rises to €50m

Liverpool winger Rio Ngumoha, who has English and Nigerian nationality, has been linked with a move to German club Bayern Munich.

The 18-year-old left winger joined Liverpool’s senior side in July 2025 after moving from Chelsea’s youth system to Liverpool Under-18s in September 2024. He remains under contract at Anfield until 30 June 2028.

Ngumoha has featured regularly for Liverpool this season, making seven Premier League appearances and four in the Champions League, where he has provided two assists. He has also played twice in the EFL Cup.

His listed market value is €50m, a figure that underlines the scale of any potential deal involving the teenager. The reported interest comes as Ngumoha continues to receive first-team opportunities for Liverpool in domestic and European competition.

Ngumoha made 11 appearances for Liverpool’s first team during the 2025-26 season, with his involvement increasing in the current campaign. He has started all four of Liverpool’s Champions League matches and both of their EFL Cup fixtures so far, while 11% of his Premier League appearances have come in the starting line-up.

There is no indication in the available information that an agreement has been reached between Liverpool and Bayern. Ngumoha’s existing contract means Liverpool are not facing an imminent expiry-date decision, with the winger tied to the club for a further two seasons beyond the current campaign.
