Bayern Munich to consider offers for Alphonso Davies next summer

Bayern Munich will reportedly consider offers for Canadian defender of Liberian descent, Alphonso Davies, next summer.

The versatile player was expected to secure the left-back position at the club for years to come, but recent injury setbacks have raised concerns within the Bayern hierarchy.

A serious cruciate ligament injury earlier in the year, followed by a hamstring strain, has disrupted Davies’ form and limited his ability to return to his usual high standards.

According to reports from the BILD podcast “Bayern Insider,” there are growing internal doubts about his physical reliability.

Football director Christian Falk highlighted the issue, stating, “The injury issue is a concern for the Bayern bosses. There have been a great many lately. He received a fantastic contract. We actually thought the problem on the left wing was solved.”

As a result, the idea of selling the fan favourite is no longer being ruled out. While no formal offers have been made, clubs such as Manchester United are believed to be monitoring the situation. Bayern’s stance could shift if a significant bid arrives.

“Perhaps Bayern will start to reconsider if they receive an offer of 70 or 80 million euros from England,” added BILD reporter Heiko Niedderer.

For now, Davies remains part of Bayern’s plans, but his future at the club may depend on both his fitness and the level of interest from potential suitors in the coming transfer window.
