Bayern Munich remain determined to sign Spanish forward of Ghanaian descent Nico Williams from Athletic Club this summer.
The club has reportedly submitted an improved offer for the forward within the past 24 hours.
According to German media reports, the Bundesliga champions have increased their bid to secure the services of the highly sought-after attacker.
The new offer includes a higher salary package for Williams, with Bayern also making it clear they have no issues meeting the player’s release clause, which they are prepared to pay in full to push the deal forward.
This renewed approach from Bayern comes just a week after Williams reportedly signalled his interest in joining Barcelona this summer.
Though the forward has yet to make a public statement on the matter, Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, has confirmed during multiple discussions with the player’s agent that Williams is open to a move to the Catalan giants.
Despite Bayern’s latest improved bid, Barcelona remain in pole position to land the talented forward. The La Liga club is, however, not in a good position to proceed with negotiations.
