Bayern Munich are holding tight to Dayot Upamecano, refusing to entertain any transfer offers, even as contract extension talks drag on.
The 26-year-old centre-back, signed until 2026, remains a core part of Bayern’s plans, despite growing interest from Paris Saint-Germain. Talks on a new deal have recently slowed, mainly due to the demands of the player’s advisors, according to Kicker.
Even so, Bayern have made their position clear: Upamecano stays. The club is reportedly prepared to let him enter the final year of his contract rather than cash in early.
“Negotiations between FC Bayern and Upamecano regarding an early contract extension are proving difficult due to the demands of his advisors,” the German outlet reports.
Unless a top-level replacement is identified, and secured, Bayern have no intention of selling the French international this summer.
According to Transfermarkt, the former RB Leipzig defender’s market value is 50 million euros.
