Bayern Munich reopen contract extension talks with Dayot Upamecano

Bayern Munich have reopened talks with France defender of Guinea-Bissau descent Dayot Upamecano over his contract extension.

This season, Dayot Upamecano has battled injuries and missed many games for the German Bundesliga champions.

He has made 20 appearances for the Bayern Munich and scored two goals for the team en route to clinching the title.

Due to his injury setbacks this season, Dayot Upamecano has been linked with a departure from the club.

Early this year, Bayern Munich opened talks to extend the contract with the centre-back. Bayern Munich want to tie the player down with a contract until 2030.

Sources have revealed that talks resumed 48 hours ago, with the two parties looking at the details that led to the stalling of the initial talks.

Not just Bayern Munich but Dayot Upamecano also wants to sign the new deal despite interest from French Champions Paris Saint-Germain.
