Bayern Munich have once again turned their attention to Germany-born defender of Cameroonian descent Yann Bisseck as they plan for potential changes in central defence ahead of the summer window.
The Bavarian giants are assessing their options at the back despite an agreement in principle over a contract extension for Dayot Upamecano. Uncertainty surrounding Kim Min-jae’s future has encouraged the club to explore alternative profiles as part of their long-term defensive planning.
According to Sport1, Bisseck has emerged as a name of interest for Bayern following his impressive development at Inter Milan.
The former 1. FC Köln defender has established himself as a regular starter in Italy, although the report notes that no direct contact has yet been made between the two clubs regarding a possible transfer.
Bisseck, now 24, remains under contract with Inter until 2029, a factor that significantly strengthens the Serie A side’s position. His recent performances, combined with growing attention from Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann, have contributed to a sharp rise in his market value.
Alongside Bisseck, Bayern are also monitoring several young defensive talents across Europe as they weigh their future options. Names such as Luka Vušković, currently on loan from Tottenham Hotspur to Hamburg, Tylel Tati of FC Nantes, US Lecce’s Tiago Gabriel and Paris Saint-Germain youngster Emmanuel Mbemba have all been linked with the club in recent reports.
