Bayern Munich ready to make Michael Olise one of their top earners

Bayern Munich are preparing a major new contract offer for Michael Olise as they seek to secure the France international’s long-term future at the club.

Olise is currently under contract with the German champions until June 2029, but Bayern are keen to extend that agreement after rejecting outside interest in the French forward of Nigerian and Algerian origin during the summer.

According to German publication Bild, negotiations could prove complicated. Bayern are considering a significant increase to Olise’s salary in an attempt to persuade him to remain in Germany beyond his existing contract.

Olise currently earns 13,510,000 euros, or 8,781,500,000 FCFA, per season. The proposed new deal could take his annual salary to almost 25 million euros.

That figure would put Olise alongside Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala as one of the highest-paid players in the Bayern Munich squad.

The player’s representatives are also seeking the inclusion of a release clause in the new contract. The clause could be set at a minimum of 200 million euros, an important point in the negotiations as Bayern aim to tie Olise down until 2032.

No agreement has yet been reached between the club and the player.

Olise’s market value is currently estimated at 170 million euros by Transfermarkt. He has made an impressive start to the season, scoring 8 goals and providing 4 assists in 7 matches in all competitions.

Bayern Munich’s next fixture will be their fifth league match of the season against Augsburg.
