German giants Bayern Munich have reportedly already made a first bid to sign Spanish forward of Ghanaian descent Nico Williams.
According to information gathered, the Bundesliga champions are preparing to present a second bid to Athletic Club in hopes of signing the forward.
Bayern Munich currently face competition from top clubs in Europe, including FC Barcelona. The Catalan side are pushing hard to sign Williams, driven in part by the close bond he shares with rising star Lamine Yamal.
Meanwhile, Barcelona’s initial top target, Liverpool’s Luis Díaz, remains unavailable, and financial constraints are complicating the club’s efforts to secure new signings.
While Barcelona are eager to land Williams, Bayern remain firmly in the race. Having seen their primary target, Florian Wirtz opt for a move to Liverpool, the German giants are actively exploring alternatives.
Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola looks likely to stay put, and talks surrounding AC Milan’s Rafael Leão and Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma continue.
Should Bayern’s improved bid meet Athletic Club’s expectations, Williams is reportedly open to discussions with head coach Vincent Kompany regarding a potential switch to Munich.
The forward will, however, choose a move to Barcelona if the club can meet the demands of Athletic Club.
