Bayern Munich are reportedly working on a loan move for talented Tanzanian-born teenager Nestory Irankunda.
While Leroy Sane’s imminent transfer to Galatasaray could have opened the door for young attacking players at the club, Irankunda is not expected to benefit from that opening just yet.
According to sources, the 19-year-old is set for another loan spell rather than a promotion to the first team.
Although Bayern remain committed to the young forward they signed from Adelaide United in the summer of 2023, a sale is currently not on the table.
The promising attacker, who is under contract until 2028, is still viewed as a long-term prospect.
However, new head coach Vincent Kompany does not plan to include him in the senior squad for the upcoming season.
The Australian U21 international, who can play on the wings or in a central attacking role, is expected to gain more experience and match practice elsewhere.
After this loan spell, he will be considered for a place in the first term depending on his performance.
