Bayern Munich are prepared to consider offers for France-born defender of Cameroonian descent, Sacha Boey, during the January transfer window.
Speculation has intensified in recent weeks over Boey’s future at the Allianz Arena, with the 25-year-old right-back reportedly struggling to cement a regular starting role since joining Bayern from Galatasaray Istanbul two years ago, largely featuring as a squad player.
Speaking on the sidelines of Bayern’s 5-0 friendly victory over Red Bull Salzburg, sporting director Max Eberl acknowledged that a potential winter move for Boey remains a possibility.
“With Hiroki and Phonzy back in the squad, we have a lot of top-class full-backs. Therefore, it could be difficult for one or two of them. And then it would probably make sense to consider a transfer. It’s only January 6th, there’s still time until the end of the transfer window,” Eberl was quoted as saying by @iMiaSanMia.
Further checks have revealed that Boey is happy at Bayern Munich and hopes to end the current season with the club.
