Bayern Munich monitor top prospect Junior Kroupi
Bayern Munich are increasingly focused on attacking alternatives after Anthony Gordon’s move to FC Barcelona now looks likely.
According to Absolut Bayern, 19-year-old French forward Junior Kroupi from AFC Bournemouth is on the Bundesliga Champions’ shortlist.
Kroupi is considered one of Europe’s most exciting attacking talents and fits the club’s profile. He mainly plays as a striker but can also operate on the left wing.
AFC Bournemouth secured the signing of French forward Eli Junior Kroupi from FC Lorient in February 2025 on a permanent transfer believed to be worth around £12 million, with additional performance-related bonuses included in the deal.
Following the agreement, the highly rated 18-year-old was loaned back to Lorient for the rest of the 2024/25 campaign to continue his development in France. After completing the season with his former club, Kroupi officially linked up with Bournemouth’s first-team squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.
In the past season, the Frenchman made 35 competitive appearances and scored 13 goals. His market value stands at €40 million according to Transfermarkt.
A potential transfer will likely cost much more. Reports suggest Bournemouth want a fee around €80 million. Kroupi is already linked with several European top clubs.
Whether Bayern become more concrete with this attacker remains unclear. After the Gordon deal fell through, Munich continue scouting the market for high-quality attacking reinforcements.
