Bayern Munich Eyes Leroy Sané as Franck Ribéry Replacement
With Franck Ribéry departing, Bayern Munich has set its sights on Leroy Sané as a potential replacement. The German club reportedly made an €80 million bid to Manchester City for the German-Senegalese winger. However, City have shown no interest in letting their star forward leave.
Bayern’s management is reportedly cautious about the chances of the transfer going through, given Manchester City’s high valuation.
“I don’t think it will happen. It’s because of the amounts—they’re crazy!” Bayern president Uli Hoeness told Kicker.
Sané, 23, has enjoyed a productive season with City, featuring in 31 Premier League matches and scoring 10 goals. Despite his strong performances, Bayern face stiff competition and financial hurdles in trying to secure the winger’s services ahead of the new Bundesliga campaign.
