Bayern Munich impressed with Equatorial Guinean midfielder Noël Aseko’s performance at Hannover 96
Bayern Munich are reportedly impressed with the performance of Germany-born midfielder of Equatorial Guinea descent, Noël Aseko, as he continues to shine at Hannover 96.
The 19-year-old defensive midfielder joined the Lower Saxony side from Bayern last winter on an 18-month loan deal and has quickly established himself as a regular under new head coach Christian Titz. Aseko has already netted twice this season, adding an attacking edge to his strong performances in the middle of the park.
Hannover reportedly hold a purchase option worth around €1 million, but Bayern are said to have secured a buyback clause in the low single-digit million range.
According to Bild, Bayern Munich are seriously considering triggering that clause should Aseko’s development continue on its current trajectory.
Such a move would give Bayern the flexibility to integrate Aseko into their senior squad, loan him to a higher-level club for further experience, or even benefit from a profitable resale.
For now, Aseko remains focused on Hannover 96, where his rapid rise has made him one of the standout young talents in the 2. Bundesliga.
