Bayern Munich have no plans to sign Kobbie Mainoo in January despite rumours
Bayern Munich have no intention of making a January move for English-Ghanaian midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, despite growing speculation linking the youngster with a switch to Germany.
The Bavarian giants have recently been associated with several emerging talents, including Julien Duranville, Ayyoub Bouaddi, Kobbie Mainoo, and Carlos Baleba, while Dario Osorio of Midtjylland has also been mentioned as a potential target.
These rumours have circulated widely, creating the impression that Bayern were preparing a major youth-focused recruitment drive.
However, new information provides a clearer picture of the situation.
Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg has dismissed the speculation, stating that the reports connecting Bayern with Duranville, Bouaddi, Mainoo, Baleba, and Osorio are not accurate.
While all five players are regarded as promising prospects, Plettenberg indicates that they are not part of Bayern’s concrete transfer plans.
Instead, decision-makers in Munich are exploring different options ahead of the next transfer windows, shifting their attention toward alternative targets as they continue refining their long-term strategy.
