Bayern Munich are reportedly planning a long-term future with 20-year-old French-born midfielder Noel Aseko, who is of Equatorial Guinean descent.

Despite Hannover 96 managing director Jörg Schmadtke expressing hope on Monday to retain Aseko beyond his loan spell, Transfermarkt reports indicate that the midfielder’s future lies with Bayern Munich rather than the Lower Saxony club.

FC Bayern are said to be committed to keeping the young German U21 international, with sporting director Christoph Freund already rejecting two offers for Aseko during the winter transfer window. Other clubs, including Galatasaray Istanbul, have also shown interest but were unsuccessful.

Hannover has the option to sign Aseko permanently for around one million euros, but Bayern can recall the player for 2.4 million euros through a buy-back clause. With the confirmed departure of Leon Goretzka, Bayern see an opening for Aseko in the squad next summer.

Meanwhile, a potential transfer for Hertha Berlin’s Kennet Eichhorn to Bayern appears unlikely at this stage.

Transfermarkt also notes that the list of clubs interested in acquiring Aseko is growing, with Brighton & Hove Albion, West Ham United, Villarreal, and three unnamed Bundesliga sides reportedly monitoring the midfielder.

Should a permanent move materialise elsewhere, the transfer fee could reach tens of millions of euros, highlighting the player’s rising profile in European football.
