Bayern Munich eye Gambinos Stars midfielder Bara Sapoko Ndiaye for return to Bundesliga champions
Bara Sapoko Ndiaye, the Senegalese central midfielder currently at Gambinos Stars, is being linked with a move back to Bayern Munich as the Bundesliga champions explore options to re-sign the 18-year-old. The German club, who had Ndiaye on loan earlier this year, are understood to be monitoring his situation closely after his return to the Gambian side this summer.
Ndiaye spent the second half of the 2025-26 season on loan at Bayern, making four Bundesliga appearances and featuring for a total of 142 minutes. Despite limited game time, he was part of the squad that went on to win both the league title and the German Cup in the 2025-26 campaign, adding major honours to his resume before his loan expired on 30 June.
His performances and rapid exposure at the top level have contributed to his valuation rising to around €4 million, a figure that would make any permanent deal relatively modest by Bayern’s standards if they choose to move. The Bavarian club are said to view Ndiaye’s familiarity with their environment as a potential advantage should negotiations with Gambinos Stars progress.
Born in Mekhe on 31 December 2007 and standing at 1.80m, the right-footed midfielder has also broken into the international scene, appearing for Senegal at the 2026 World Cup and playing in one of their matches at the tournament. Ndiaye is currently back with Gambinos Stars, with no fixed contract end-date publicly disclosed, leaving his future open as Bayern consider whether to formalise their renewed interest.
