Bayern Munich considering selling Guinea-Bissau rooted defender Dayot Upamecano

Bayern Munich are planning to cash in on France international of Guinea-Bissau descent Dayot Upamecano ahead of the summer transfer window.

Upamecano, whose current contract expires in summer 2026 has yet to sign a new deal with the Bundesliga giants. His contract situation is precarious, as talks for contract renewal has proven futile.

The Franco-Guinea Bissau goes into the summer transfer window with just one year remaining on his deal.

Bayern Munich are determined not to lose the player on a free transfer, and with no signs of a renewal, it could incite the Bundesliga giants to sell the player at the end of the season.

Despite links to Paris Saint-Germain, the Ligue 1 champions currently have no intention of signing the France international, despite being in the market for a centre-back.

PSG are preparing for the possibility of Marquinhos departing but Upamecano is not part of any succession planning.

The 26-year-old made 20 appearances in the Bundesliga and scored two goals before injury setback.
