Bayern Munich close in on Ismael Saibari as Moroccan star agrees personal terms
German champions Bayern Munich have moved a step closer to signing Moroccan midfielder Ismael Saibari after reaching a verbal agreement with the player on personal terms.
Per reports, Saibari is keen to join the Bundesliga giants and has already held discussions with Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany, who views the Moroccan international as a key target to strengthen his midfield options ahead of the new season.
While the player has reportedly given his approval to the move, negotiations between Bayern and PSV Eindhoven are still ongoing as both clubs work to reach an agreement on the transfer fee and final terms of the deal.
The talks are said to be progressing positively, although a full agreement has yet to be completed. Saibari is now waiting for the clubs to finalize negotiations before his future can be officially settled.
The 24-year-old remains under contract with PSV until 2029, placing the Dutch side in a strong negotiating position. With an estimated market value of around €40 million, Bayern are expected to make a significant financial commitment if they are to secure his signature.
Saibari’s stock has risen sharply following an outstanding 2025-26 campaign in the Netherlands. His impressive displays earned him the Eredivisie Player of the Year award, further enhancing his reputation as one of the most exciting midfield talents in European football.
Should the transfer be completed, Saibari would become the latest Moroccan international to join one of Europe’s elite clubs, while Bayern would add a versatile and dynamic midfielder capable of making an immediate impact in both domestic and continental competitions.
