France international of Guinea-Bissau descent Dayot Upamecano is on the verge of renewing his contract with Bayern Munich.
The 26-year-old’s current contract with the Bundesliga giants is expected to elapse at the end of the season.
After back and forth negotiations, the experienced defender has agreed to extend his contract with Bayern Munich until 2030.
In the comings days, the German Bundesliga giants will officially announce Upamecano’s contract extension.
Due to injuries this season, Upamecano has played only 20 matches in the Bundesliga, scoring 2 goals.
The experienced defender will be hoping to recover in time for the upcoming FUFA Club World Cup tournament scheduled to take place in the USA.
