German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen have completed the signing of rising Malian forward Ndjicoura Bomba, as the club continues to invest in young talent for the future.
The 17-year-old, currently with CS Bamako in Mali, will officially join Leverkusen in March when he turns 18 and becomes eligible for international transfer.
“Bayer 04 Leverkusen have secured the services of another gifted youngster: 17-year-old forward Ndjicoura Bomba will move to Leverkusen from CS Bamako in his native Mali in March, once he reaches legal age,” the club confirmed in an official statement.
Bomba caught the eye of several top European clubs during the 2023 U17 Africa Cup of Nations, where he played a key role in Mali’s impressive run to the final. Standing at 1.88 metres, the talented forward scored three goals and provided two assists in six appearances at the tournament.
His arrival underscores Bayer Leverkusen’s long-term strategy of blending proven talent with emerging prospects as they continue to build for sustained success in the Bundesliga and beyond.
