Bayer Leverkusen are working on a deal to sign England youngster of Ghanaian descent Jarrel Quansah.
The German Bundesliga club wants to do everything to secure the services of the centre-back to replace captain Jonathan Tah, who has signed for Bayern Munich.
According to information gathered, negotiations are already underway between Bayer Leverkusen, Liverpool, and the player’s representatives.
Because it is early day, no agreement has been reached yet, although talks are said to be progressing well.
Jarell Quansah, 22, is reportedly at the top of Leverkusen’s wishlist, and the deal is being pursued independently of any potential transfer involving Florian Wirtz to Liverpool.
Contrary to earlier speculation, Leverkusen are no longer pursuing Sevilla’s Loïc Badé, with their full attention now on Quansah.
Highly rated for his strength in duels, tactical intelligence, and development potential, Quansah is seen as a key piece in Leverkusen’s defensive rebuild.
The defender is in no hurry to leave Liverpool but is open to the idea of joining Bayer Leverkusen as well.
