Bastia Without Ayité and Several Key Players Ahead of Bordeaux Clash
Ligue 1 side SC Bastia will be significantly weakened for their upcoming fixture against Bordeaux on Saturday, as a number of key players are unavailable through injury or international duty.
Togolese forward Floyd Ayité has been ruled out due to injury and will miss the match on Matchday 22. He is among a growing list of absentees for Bastia manager Ghislain Printant.
Also sidelined are Christopher Maboulou, Romain Achilli, veteran midfielder Romaric, goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, and El-Hadji Ba. Additionally, François Kamano and Junior Tallo are away on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations.
In light of these absences, Printant has named an 18-man squad for the home fixture at Stade Armand-Cesari, which includes experienced striker Djibril Cissé and young prospect Hervin Ongenda.
Bastia Squad to Face Bordeaux:
Goalkeepers: Thomas Vincensini, Jean-Louis Leca
Defenders: Gilles Cioni, Sébastien Squillaci, François Modesto, Julian Palmieri, Florian Marange, Mathieu Peybernes, Alexander Djiku
