Midfielder N’Dri Koffi Romaric, aged 30, is on the verge of a potential return to Ligue 1, marking a comeback five years after his departure. Currently without a club following the termination of his contract with Real Zaragoza, Romaric is actively in talks with Sporting Bastia.
Reportedly, Sporting Bastia is considering offering the Ivorian midfielder a three-year contract. If negotiations prove successful, Romaric would reunite with his former coach at Le Mans, Frédéric Hantz, on the Isle of Beauty.
In addition to the interest from Sporting Bastia, Romaric is being pursued by Lokomotiv Moscow and the Turkish side Sivasspor. The Ivory Coast international’s potential return to Ligue 1 adds an intriguing dimension to his career, and the decision is likely to hinge on various factors, including the opportunity to work with a familiar coach and the prospect of a new chapter in a competitive league.
