Djibril Cissé, the French international, has taken a significant pay cut to join SC Bastia, hoping to maintain his chances of playing in the World Cup with the French team. According to France Football, Cissé now earns 66,000 euros net monthly, approximately half of what he received in Russia while playing for Kuban Krasnodar. This reduction amounts to nearly 800,000 euros per year. In Bastia, Cissé receives a salary similar to the team’s other prominent player, Milos Krasic.
