Bassirou Compaore: Burkinabe Striker Linked with Prva Liga Switch from Struga to Shkendija

Burkina Faso centre-forward Bassirou Compaore, currently with Struga in the North Macedonian Prva Liga, has been linked with a move to domestic rivals Shkendija in a deal that would see one of the league’s more established attacking options change sides.

The 28-year-old is understood to be on Shkendija’s shortlist as they look to strengthen their forward line ahead of the new campaign, with his current market value estimated at around €450,000. Any deal between the two Prva Liga clubs would be expected to reflect that valuation, though talks are yet to progress to an advanced stage.

Compaore has built his reputation in North Macedonia with Struga, operating through the middle as a recognised centre-forward. His performances there have drawn attention within the division, prompting Shkendija to explore whether a deal can be struck with their league counterparts.

A move would keep Compaore in familiar surroundings while offering Shkendija an opportunity to add a player already acclimatised to the pace and physical demands of the Prva Liga. For Struga, interest from a direct rival raises the prospect of having to replace a key attacking figure if an agreement is reached.

With no contract end date publicly disclosed, it remains unclear how much leverage Struga hold in any negotiations, but the presence of a defined market value suggests the club would expect a fee rather than entertain an easy exit. For now, Compaore remains a Struga player as Shkendija weigh up whether to turn their interest into a formal offer.
