Bassem Morsi backs Zamalek for Egypt Premier League title
Former Egyptian international Bassem Morsi has tipped Zamalek to win the Premier League title this season, insisting the White Castle are steadily building momentum in the race.
Speaking in an interview, Morsi said Zamalek have defied early doubts about their campaign, crediting the squad for reshaping perceptions after being written off by some observers.
He argued that their performances on the pitch have restored respect and underlined their title credentials.
He further stated that Zamalek are not burdened by pressure at this stage, stressing that their destiny remains firmly in their own hands.
In his view, rivals Al Ahly and Pyramids FC are also in contention, but Zamalek currently hold a slight advantage as the season progresses.
Morsi also highlighted the importance of the club’s supporters, describing their unwavering backing as a key source of motivation for the players in their pursuit of the championship.
